An introduction to local fossils and a guided fossil hunt on the beach! This Easter school holiday, come along to The Naze to discover why our cliffs are so special. See a collection of local fossils, including some huge shark teeth! Hear all about The Naze geology with our introductory talk, led by one of our knowledgeable wilder learning team. Next, we'll head to the beach for a group fossil hunt, where our friendly leaders will be on hand to help, guiding you with the best places to look and identifying any finds. Please bring a bag or bucket to collect your fossils in. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone will need a ticket. Most suited to children aged 6+. Please note the beach is accessed via steep stairs and is not accessible for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
